The importance of disinfection: safety at every stage!
Disinfection is a key element in medicine and cosmetology, ensuring safety and preventing infections. Let's consider two main aspects of disinfection: cleaning hands and tools.
Hand disinfection
The first step is hand disinfection. A specialist’s hands can carry bacteria and viruses. For this we use:
Washing hands with soap. This is a basic measure for removing contaminants.
Hand sanitizers. Alcohol-based solutions are effective at killing microorganisms and are used when hand washing is not available.
Regular use of antiseptics reduces the risk of transmission of infections and should be mandatory practice.
Disinfection of instruments
The second important step is disinfection of instruments that come into contact with the skin. This prevents infection and ensures safe procedures. Methods include:
Sterilization. Complete destruction of microorganisms using autoclaves, dry-heat ovens and chemical sterilizers.
Disinfectants. Use of special solutions for treating instrument surfaces.
To disinfect instruments you will also find here:
Containers for sterilization: container, craft bags (paper bags intended for sterilization in dry heat), sterilization tray (for smaller instruments, unlike the container);
Sterilizers: quartz ball sterilizer (only for metal instruments), dry-heat oven.
In cosmetology, as in medicine, cleanliness of instruments is critical to prevent infections.
Disinfection of hands and tools are mandatory steps for everyone who works with leather. This is not only a matter of safety, but also of maintaining a professional reputation and maintaining hygiene standards. Failure to take these steps can result in serious health consequences and legal problems.
