Infrared sterilizer (IR) dry-heat oven - based on the use of a new thermal agent - short-term pulsed infrared radiation, creating a selected temperature in the working chamber of the sterilizer at a specified time.

The infrared sterilizer is a cabinet with three built-in infrared heaters of the new generation. The power of each heater is 300 watts. The total power of the sterilizer is 900 watts.

Due to this, the heating speed of the cabinet to 200 degrees is achieved within 2-4 minutes. The body of this device is made of metal. The cabinet door is made of heat-resistant reflective glass.

The sterilizer is equipped with two trays for instruments.

With this heating method, sterilization is now carried out much faster and more efficiently than in steam and dry-air sterilizers. This is due to the peculiarities of energy transfer. Energy transfer occurs at the speed of light, and absorption processes are also more dynamic compared to convection heat exchange, since they are implemented at the electronic level, not at the molecular level. In addition, thermal energy is absorbed in the surface layers of solids, which is important for sterilization. The method of sterilization using infrared radiation ensures maximum preservation of the properties of cutting surfaces due to the absence of aggressive environments during sterilization

The time of infrared sterilization of an unpacked instrument is 30 minutes, including the stages of entering the heating and cooling mode.

This IR dry-heat oven can only be used for high-temperature instruments (such as scissors, cutters, nail clippers and other metal objects and containers) intended for dry-air sterilization.
