Kraft bags for sterilization with an indicator are made of sulfate cellulose, the density is 70 g/m2.

Indicators are applied to the kraft packaging, which make it possible to distinguish sterilized instruments from non-sterilized ones due to a change in color.

If the sterilizer worked correctly, then the external indicators change the color to the one specified in the standard, for example, beige will turn purple.

Indicators are glued to the area of the kraft package accessible for visual inspection. After the sterilization cycle is completed, the indicator mark of each indicator is compared to the color of the reference standard.

If a negative control result is displayed on the indicator, then all instruments processed in this cycle are considered non-sterile.

Kraft sterilization packages contain the following information:

1. name of the product

2. size

3. name of the manufacturer (trademark)

4. acceptable method of sterilization

5. a warning inscription about the inadmissibility of use in case of damage to the package

6. explanatory diagram showing the opening of the package with scissors

7. the expected color of the indicator after sterilization.

The special feature of kraft bags is that they allow air molecules to pass through, but at the same time they filter bacteria and other microorganisms.

After sterilization, the microorganisms inside the package die under the influence of high temperature, and after the end of processing, new ones do not come from the outside environment, which ensures the preservation of the sterility of the instruments.

Kraft packages for sterilization are used for processing tools by the air method (sterilization temperature is 160-180C) and steam (at the temperature of sterilization at a temperature of 121-134C).

Fields of application:

Kraft packages are used in medical institutions, cosmetology, beauty salons for air sterilization of manicure, medical instruments in tendon cabinets, autoclaves and other devices.

The sterilization procedure consists of three stages: manual or automatic cleaning of instruments, disinfection of instruments in special solutions and then sterilization of dry instruments in a dry oven. Paper bags are used in the third stage.

Immediately before placing the tools in the oven, they must be put in a bag (seal the bag). After the procedure, this set of tools can be stored directly before starting work.

The package is opened in the presence of the client.
